While we say there are, they are only a few eternal fashion icons, few people whose name and importance in the ever changing world of fashion will never fade and Diane Vreeland, my darlings, is definitely one for the books. The woman was discovered on the street for her style! How often does that happen? Looks sure, but style? Hardly ever, is you don't count that college student Kanye tapped because of his shoes.
She was a brillant columnist and fashion editor for Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. There's a reason why people say that “she was and remains the only genius fashion editor,” that's not a quote people thrown around lightly.
Diana Vreeland was a genius and, to this day, remains an inspiration.
